| Well what can I tell you about the coast to coast walk
that the great Wainwright failed to do? Only my story on these web pages
I'm afraid. Suggest you buy his little book .... A Coast to Coast Walk
by A. Wainwright published by Michael Joseph, London. Its little pages
covered by Wainwrights drawings and witty narrative warm the soul and
encourage others to break the bounds of TV culture and do something a
little different with their lives.
The only serious extra information I would include is the Ordnance Survey maps: Outdoor Leisure numbers 33 and 34. They cover the walk at a scale of 4cm to 1km and are excellent. They include extracts from the book but can never replace it ..... where else can you record a log of the journey? For hints and tips on walking see my Isle of Wight Coast Path web site.
